Christina
Consulting Behavior Analyst

Christina began working in ABA in 1995, while majoring in psychology and biology at Sarah Lawrence College. She has written dozens of academic papers on autism, exploring its relationship to various areas of study, including developmental and cognitive psychology, genetics, neurobiology, and neurochemistry.

Christina taught at The Fred S. Keller School, an ABA EI/preschool, while receiving her Masters in Applied Behavior Analysis from Columbia University. Her graduate work focused on verbal behavior and included curriculum, assessment, inclusion, gifted and talented/gifted and LD education, linguistics, and reading instruction.

Christina now works in private practice as a consulting behavior analyst for home programs, specializing in applied verbal behavior and autism. She consults across the country for EI, preschool, school-age, and adolescent students with diagnoses ranging from classical autism to recovery.



Frank
ABA Therapist
playB.A. Administrator

Frank began working in ABA home programs in 1995. He has served as lead and line therapist in numerous programs for children with autism from 4-8 years old.

Frank also ran the Children’s Evaluation and Rehabilitation Center, a program providing Early Intervention, evaluation, and ongoing therapy, through St. Joseph’s Medical Center.

Additionally, Frank has acted as administrator for The Specialty Hospital for developmentally disabled children within The Terence Cardinal Cooke Health Care Center, as Administrator for the Developmental Disabilities Clinic.




Staff members are trained and supervised by Christina Burk, M.A., playB.A. Director, who continuously trains and monitors staff through her ABA practice.

All staff have experience working 1:1 as ABA tutors and are trained in facilitating social interactions once they join the playB.A. staff. The child-to-adult ratio is never higher than 3:1.

Additionally, 1:1 shadow services are available as needed and upon request.
